- arrow_drop_downWhat documentation do I need when applying for a loan?
When applying for a personal loan you will need the following: Proof of PPS number (Public services card not accepted), proof of address, proof of income and Identification.
- Identification: Valid Photo driving licence card, Valid signed passport, valid Garda age card,EU member state identity card. We can not accept public service cards.
- PPSN: Any revenue or social welfare correspondence letters, medical card, E111 card, P21, P45, P60 and tax return.
- Proof of address: All documentation must be dated within the last 6 months. Acceptable proofs of address are: Bank/Credit Union letter containing your full name address and an account number, utility bill containing your full name address and an account number such as electric Ireland.
- Proof of Income: Proof of Social Welfare payments, 3 months payslips, Tax return.
- arrow_drop_downHow long does the loan application process take?
Once we contact you and receive and all supporting documentation by 1pm on any given Monday (Excluding Bank Holidays), the loan process takes approximately 3 working days. Applications received After 1pm on Mondays may not be processed until the following Monday. Unfortunately due to high demand we are not currently accepting applications from new customers.
- arrow_drop_downWhat happens if I miss a repayment?
If a repayment is missed, you MUST make contact with our office immediately to discuss how this payment can be made up. We are flexible and will work with customers who have found themselves in financial difficulty but you MUST keep us informed where payments are missed.
Leinster Credit uploads all customer accounts to the Central Credit Register (CCR) once per Month, if your account is in arrears it may effect your ability to obtain Credit from other Credit providers in the republic of Ireland.
- arrow_drop_downWhat is the Central Credit Register (CCR)?
Under the Credit Reporting Act 2013 lenders are required to provide personal and credit information for credit applications and credit agreements of €500 and above to the Central Credit Register. This information will be held on the Central Credit Register and may be used by other lenders when making decisions on your credit applications and credit agreements.

- arrow_drop_downCan a Leinster Credit loan effect my credit rating on the Central Credit Register?
Once your loan is repaid in line with the terms and conditions of the loan there will be no negative effect on your credit rating. However failure to meet the terms and conditions of any loan may impact on your credit rating.

If you are in County Dublin, yes probably. We cover most of Leinster but please email us to find out.

Any information held by Leinster Credit (The Firm) about you, is done so for regulatory requirements and legitimate business purposes and will not be used for any other purposes unless you have otherwise permitted us to do so.
